Edit Pronunciation
Sometimes a word doesn't sound right. That can vary across voices. Something may sound fine when pronounced by Ivy but off if using the Justin voice. You can create and save pronunciations for customized vocabulary with the Edit Pronunciation feature. This will allow you to keep the correct spelling for the text when it appears in the speech display window while having the word pronounced correctly.
- Select Menu.
- Select Edit Pronunciation.
- Select the Plus Sign (+) in the upper right-hand corner.
- Type the mispronounced word in the Word field.
- In the Pronounce As field, spell how the word should sound.
- Select Pronounce to test how the new word will sound.
- If it is correct, select Save. If it is still not correct, change the text in the Pronounce As field window until the pronunciation is correct. Select SAVE once you have done this.
- Select Done.
